He has trained at prestigious institutions like Harvard Kennedy School and the University of Pittsburgh, focusing on effective service delivery and leadership ethics. Currently the CEO of Docs & Offshore Services Limited, Umar excels in negotiation, budgeting, and customer service, enhancing operational efficiency in Niger State’s public transport sector. Fluent in English and Hausa, he is committed to community service and has held significant roles in both public and private sectors, demonstrating a strong dedication to positive change and effective governance.

Currently at Urban Shelter Limited, he uses his expertise to develop outstanding real estate projects in Abuja.

Commissioner for Works & Infrastructural Development, Hon. Commissioner for Transportation & Infrastructural Development, and Hon. Minister of Sports for Nigeria. He is also a fellow of the Nigeria Society of Engineers and a member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
